The Unbelievable Transformed 2012 Honda Pilot
Many American customers were demanding larger vehicles from Honda, so the first Honda Pilot was introduced in 2002, as a large SUV with third row seats.
Today’s 2012 Honda Pilot is being launched with all new looks and amazing new features. The Pilot is the biggest vehicle that Honda has to offer, and reviews show that is very successful in the market.

Honda Pilot – Features and Data
There are four different styles of the Honda Pilot available, the base model, EX, EX-L and the deluxe touring model. Their prices range between $29,000-$42,000 according to 2WD or AWD and different features and models. Each one can be purchased with either two wheel or four-wheel drive. They all have an automatic transmission and the excellent 3.5 liter I-VTEC V6 SOHC engine, with five cylinder technology.
This special engine is specifically used to increase fuel efficiency by using less cylinders and reducing weight, which ultimately improves the engine’s performance and increases the gas mileage. The two-wheel drive Honda Pilot MPG is 17 in the city and 23 miles per gallon with highway usage. The four-wheel drive is about the same, getting 16 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway.
Some of the exciting external features include power slide mirrors that match the body of the car, a powered moon roof that tilts and will open with the touch of a button, keyless remote entry, security systems, and green tinted glass that blocks the heat. The touring model comes with a power tailgate, and the other models offer a glass hatch.
The safety features have been updated with dual front airbags, airbags in the front, which include a passenger side occupant position detection system (OPDS), curtain airbags in the third row and several security features and sensors for the seatbelts. The Honda Pilot also includes many active safety parts as well such as Electronic Brake Distribution, Antilock Braking System and Vehicle Stability Assist.
Some of the excellent internal features are keyless entry, telescopic and tilt steering column, cruise control, power locks and windows that have the automatic up and down feature. The Honda pilot is a great vehicle for large families; it comes with air-conditioning in the front and back of the vehicle, for the whole family’s comfort. There are eight bucket seats in the front and two bench seats in the back that will carry three passengers each. This model is one of the few SUVs on the market today with the ability to use safety seats for four children.
The passengers will appreciate the AM/FM/CD player stereo that has seven speakers throughout the vehicle and additional jacks, which are provided for other digital devices. The Pilot has an incredible amount of storage space. Four-foot wide plywood that is lying flat can be carried in the back, by simply folding the second and third row of back seats down.
In comparison with the other 2012 SUV models, such as the Toyota Highlander, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorrento and the Chevrolet Traverse, the Honda Pilot has received better consumer ratings for many of its wonderful features.
